Gardening in the Park
Gardening in the Park usually takes place from 9 am to noon every first and third Saturday except in August, but join in when you can!
In order to maintain the vibrancy and beauty of THE COMMON GROUND gardens, we are always looking for eager hands to tend to them. Volunteer Gardeners meet at the park on the first and third Saturday of the month from April through to November from 9 am until 12 noon. Tools and gloves are provided.

GARDENING IN THE PARK - TOOLS ARE PROVIDED. JOIN US IN THIS
BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY PLACE.
All sessions use hands-on learning; we follow the cycles of the garden and use organic methods, identify insects, answer horticulture questions, all while enjoying each other’s company and doing our part to beautify Sayville. We also have ‘non-gardening’ chores if you prefer to stay out of the soil.

Time to thin many types of perennials here. Purchase potted plants from the park to take home for your gardens!
Volunteer Day - April 22, 2023
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the high school students and their teachers for their help in planning and participating in a very successful Volunteer Day at The Common Ground on April 22, 2023. The students were willing and enthusiastic participants. They should be proud of everything they accomplished.
